 The best time to visit Santiago, Chile, is during the spring and fall shoulder seasons, which are from September to November and March to May. These months offer mild temperatures with average highs in the mid-70s to low 80s, ideal for exploring the city and enjoying outdoor activities.
The weather is pleasant, and you’ll experience less rainfall compared to other times of the year. During these seasons, you can also participate in cultural events such as wine festivals and Fiestas Patrias, Chile’s national holiday. The vineyards in the nearby Maipo Valley showcase beautiful fall foliage, and the Andes are at their greenest in the spring.
Keep in mind that while summer (December to February) brings dry, sunny days. It’s also when temperatures and tourist numbers peak. Conversely, winter (June to August) can be cooler with increased smog levels, but it’s a great time for skiing in the Andes
